This Shadow of Death map is set on a medium 72 by 72 board with an underground level, and it is rated Impossible. Six players can take part, all of them human-capable, split into two teams, with every faction assigned at random. The win condition is to find and defeat one specific monster, which is tied to the story the author sketched: a great hero was slain long ago by a horde of creatures, and the player must track down the responsible monster. Losing means forfeiting all towns and heroes. Rock and grass cover most of the land, with dirt paths and about eleven percent water. The map holds six towns, a Grail, twenty-two mines, and a variety of dwellings, artifacts, and roaming monsters, including dragons, an elemental, and a troll.
