Elly's Adventures is an extra-large underground map of 144 by 144 tiles for Shadow of Death, played at Impossible difficulty. It is a victory-or-standard game in which the goal is to carry one specific artifact to a destination, while losing one specific hero ends the game in defeat. Eight colors take part, split into four teams, but only one seat can be occupied by a human player; the other seven are computer-controlled. The factions in play span Dungeon, Rampart, Stronghold, Tower, Conflux, Inferno, Necropolis, Fortress and Castle. The landscape is mostly rock and grass with some subterranean ground and a small share of water. Sixteen heroes are placed across 29 towns, and the map holds 60 mines, 11 creature banks, 14 monoliths and portals, and a Grail. Artifacts such as Angel Wings and the Speculum are scattered throughout, along with 100 random artifacts.
