Telkontar's Legacy is an extra large underground map measuring 144 by 144 tiles, set at normal difficulty for up to five human players and one computer-only seat. Four teams compete, with Tower, Necropolis, Castle and Rampart assigned to fixed colors and random towns for the remaining two. The premise centers on a descendant of a former ruler who wants to dominate the world. Victory requires recovering the Sword of Judgement, which has been lost in the abyss, and a player is eliminated after losing all towns and heroes. Rock, water, grass and subterranean ground make up most of the land. Scorpicores and Earth Elementals roam the map, Vampires are found in dwellings, and the Grail is placed on the map.
