The story centers on an evenly matched clash between unified dark forces and allied forces of light, with the outcome possibly turning on one powerful leader who takes command of a single clan. Victory requires flagging all mines, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The map holds 36 towns, 134 mines and wandering Ghost Dragons, along with placed artifacts such as the Orb of Silt and the Endless Sack of Gold.
