Down The Earth is a small 36 by 36 multiplayer map for four players, all of whom can be human, with no teams. It is rated Hard and includes an underground level, which may be needed to reach rivals. Each player takes one faction: Rampart for Red, Necropolis for Blue, Castle for Green, and Stronghold for Purple. Players choose a hero from barbarian, knight, necromancer, or ranger. The goal is to defeat all enemies, and a player loses once all their towns and heroes are gone. Grass and rough ground make up most of the terrain, with little water. The map holds eight towns, ten monoliths and portals, 24 mines, and 17 artifacts.
