Die Zusammenkunft — AB
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
The Gathering is a large 108 by 108 surface map set in the aftermath of a collapsed kingdom. According to the author's description, the realm of King Jerowes fell apart after his death, when no one would accept his son Herdros as heir, and Herdros was eventually executed by an assassin. The map is rated Hard and has five players, with Green computer-controlled only, so up to four humans can take part. There are no teams. Red plays Castle, Blue plays Tower, Tan plays Dungeon, and Green and Purple both play Inferno. Water covers about 40 percent of the land, with grass making up roughly 30 percent. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Notable features include 12 towns, 28 mines, and wandering stacks of Archangels and Master Genies, along with artifacts such as Dragon Scale Armor and the Cards of Prophecy.
