Die Rettung is an extra large underground map for four players, each on their own side, with no teams and no computer-only colors, so all four seats can be human. The players take the Tower, Castle, Necropolis, or Inferno factions, and the map is set in the Restoration of Erathia game version. Victory means defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Lava, grass, snow, and water make up most of the terrain, with water covering about a fifth of the surface. The map holds 12 towns and 139 mines, along with 15 seer huts, 11 creature banks, and six monoliths and portals. Wandering stacks of Gold Golems, Fire Elementals, and Walking Dead are common, and the artifacts include the Endless Sack of Gold and the Helm of Heavenly Enlightenment.
