Die Argonauten — RoE

Die Argonauten is an extra large 144 by 144 map with an underground level, rated Hard. It supports eight players, but only one can be human, and the other seven are computer-controlled. There are no teams. The map casts the player as leader of the Argonauts, whose task is to return the Golden Fleece, which Phrixos brought to Kolchis, to Iolkos. Red plays Castle, Blue plays Dungeon, Tan plays Inferno, and the remaining four colors receive random factions. Victory requires transporting a specific artifact, and losing a specific hero ends the game in defeat. About 22 percent of the terrain is water, with rock and dirt covering most of the rest. Notable features include 34 towns, a Grail, and 47 Water Elemental stacks, plus 92 mines and 15 creature banks.
