Devils Island is an extra large underground map of 144 by 144 tiles, played at Normal difficulty on the Restoration of Erathia version. Three players share the field, with the Castle, Stronghold and Inferno factions in Red, Blue and Tan, and only one seat can be human. Blue and Tan are computer-only, and there are no teams. The map is about crusaders rising from the ruins of a city overrun by demonic forces, with the goal of defeating a specific hero. Losing all towns and heroes ends the game. Water covers about 38 percent of the terrain, with lava and rock making up most of the rest. Wandering Arch Devils, Cerberus and Magog stacks roam the land, and the Grail is placed on the map alongside eight notable artifacts.
