Demon invasion is an extra large underground map for In the Wake of Gods, measuring 144 by 144 with levels above and below ground. It is rated Expert and plays for six colors, with five computer-only players and room for one human. Three teams are set up, with five Castle players and one Inferno player, the demon side in purple. Terrain is mostly lava and grass, with almost no water. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses when all towns and heroes are gone. The map holds ten towns and a Grail, along with many mines, creature banks, monoliths and portals. Wandering stacks of Halberdiers, Cannons and Arch Devils are scattered across it, and there is one timed event.
