Deaths Path — SoD

Deaths Path is a two-player Extra Large map spanning 144 by 144 tiles, with an underground level included. The author's name is not given, and the description is brief, so the map is best understood from its layout. Grass covers close to two fifths of the terrain, with subterranean ground, rock and water making up the rest. Two human players can take part, with no computer-only colors and no teams, and each side starts with a random faction. Victory requires defeating all enemies, while a player loses by losing every town and hero. Eight towns, three starting heroes and a large population of random monsters fill the map, along with 18 Battle Dwarf stacks wandering the land. Mines, seer huts, creature banks and monoliths and portals are spread across it, and fifteen named artifacts, such as Angel Wings and the Endless Sack of Gold, are placed alongside 42 random ones.
