Death is only The Beginning is a small 36 by 36 underground map for one player, rated Expert and made for the Restoration of Erathia version. The player leads a Tower hero and wins by defeating one specific monster, while the game is lost if the 336-day limit runs out. Rock and grass cover most of the surface, with water taking about a fifth and dirt making up the rest. Two towns, twelve mines, and four monoliths or portals support the journey, and the Grail is placed on the map. Wandering guardians include Chaos Hydras, Ghost Dragons, Titans, and several demonic and angelic stacks. Four artifacts are placed along the way, including the Sword of Judgement. The author's notes describe a demanding fight against underground foes.
