Death in Tatalia is an extra large underground map for Restoration of Erathia, set on a 144 by 144 field and rated hard. Up to four human players can take part, split into two teams. Fortresses hold the green and orange sides, while Necropolises hold the purple and pink sides. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses once every town and hero is gone. The terrain is mostly swamp, water, and subterranean ground. Ten towns and eight heroes are spread across the map, along with sixty-eight mines and nine creature banks. Wandering gnolls, lizardmen, and hydras roam the land, and fifteen artifacts, including the Helm of Chaos and the Sphere of Permanence, are placed throughout.
