Day of the Destroyer is an extra large underground map for Shadow of Death, set on a 144 by 144 board at Normal difficulty. The author's description frames it around Regnan pirates blockading Jadame and a cataclysm tied to a figure called the Destroyer, with the continent's factions urged to unite. Two players share the map, but only one can be human, and the Pink side is computer-controlled. There are no teams. The Red player starts with Castle, Rampart, Necropolis, Dungeon and Stronghold, while Pink plays Castle. Victory requires acquiring a specific artifact, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Rock covers about 42 percent of the ground and water about 21 percent, with grass and dirt making up the rest. Notable features include the Grail, 34 random artifacts, 6 towns, 17 mines and 16 monoliths and portals, plus wandering monsters such as Red Dragons and Magogs.
