Dark Horizon is an Extra Large 144x144 multiplayer map for In the Wake of Gods, set on a single surface level with no underground. It supports four players, all of them human-controllable, with no computer-only colors and no teams. The players take Tower, Rampart, Necropolis, or Dungeon, one faction each. The difficulty is set to Impossible. A player wins by defeating all enemies and loses by losing all towns and heroes. Water covers about 30 percent of the terrain, with subterranean, dirt, and grass making up most of the rest. Across the map are eight towns, twelve heroes, and many wandering monster stacks, including Cyclops Kings, Water Elementals, and Wyvern Monarchs. Mines, seer huts, creature banks, and monoliths are spread throughout, and a number of named artifacts are placed on the map.
