Crystal Claw is a Hard map for four human players with no teams, set on a large 108 by 108 underground level. Red plays Rampart, Blue plays Castle, Tan plays Conflux, and Green plays Dungeon. The story has the First Phoenix returning to a land where four rulers are at war. Whoever defeats it earns great honor, and rivals would yield. Terrain is mostly rock, dirt and snow, with almost no water. Highlights include eight towns, two Crystal Dragons among the wandering monsters, 62 mines, 17 seer huts, and Armageddon's Blade and the Sword of Hellfire. Victory requires defeating all enemies, while a player is eliminated after losing all towns and heroes.

W tym rejonie świata po raz kolejny pojawił się Pierwszy Feniks, zakłócając przedłużającą się wojnę między czterema władcami. Pokonanie pierwszego feniksa przyniosłoby zwycięzcy wielki zaszczyt; gdyby ci się to udało, rywale niewątpliwie ugięliby się przed triumfatorem.
