Coastal — RoE

Coastal is a large 108 by 108 underground-enabled map for four players, with each player controlling one faction: Dungeon, Rampart, Necropolis, and Castle. All four seats are human-playable and there are no teams. Water covers about half of the map, with rough ground making up roughly a quarter, so movement depends heavily on sea routes and coastal paths. The author describes it as a straightforward game, and players may win either by acquiring a specific artifact or by finding the Grail, which is placed on the map. Losing means forfeiting all towns and heroes. Scattered across the land are 28 mines, two creature banks, and dwellings holding creatures such as Red Dragons, Basilisks, and Elementals, along with a set of placed artifacts and wandering monster stacks.
