Clash of the Dragons is a medium 72x72 map for In the Wake of Gods, with an underground level and an Impossible difficulty setting. One human player can take part, facing four computer-controlled colors that are all on their own, with no teams. The Red player leads the Rampart faction, while Blue plays Dungeon, Tan plays Necropolis, Green plays Fortress, and Purple plays Stronghold. Victory requires defeating every enemy, and a player loses once all their towns and heroes are gone. The land is a mix of swamp, grass, sand, and water, with about 14 percent water. Wandering dragons of several kinds roam the map, dwellings hold a range of creatures, and the Grail is placed on the map alongside a set of named artifacts.
