Behemoth's Lair is a medium underground map of 72 by 72 tiles, built for four players, each of whom may be human, with no teams and no computer-only colors. Set in a network of subterranean mazes, it is rated hard and drawn mostly from subterranean, rock, swamp and lava terrain. Red plays Inferno, Tan plays Stronghold, Green plays Fortress and Purple plays Necropolis. Victory comes from defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The maze holds wandering stacks of Ancient Behemoths, Arch Devils, Chaos Hydras and several dragon types, along with a number of artifacts and the Grail. Mines, creature banks, seer huts and monoliths are spread throughout.
