Your side is paired with an ally against three other teams, and the goal is to defeat all enemies. A player loses once all of their towns and heroes are gone. The land is mostly dirt, with rough ground, grass, and water covering smaller shares. The author suggests that taking the central town of Salvineye may be key to winning. Scattered across the map are nine towns, twenty-nine mines, seven creature banks, three seer huts, and fifteen named artifacts, along with wandering monster stacks and dwellings holding creatures such as dragons and trolls.
