Battle is a medium 72 by 72 map for Armageddon's Blade, played on an underground level and rated Hard. Six players can all be human, and no teams are set, so every side competes alone. The factions are Inferno for Red, Tower for Blue, Stronghold for Tan, Rampart for Green, Necropolis for Purple, and Castle for Teal. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing every town and hero. Rock covers about 45 percent of the land, with grass, rough ground, snow, and water making up the rest. The map contains 14 towns, nine heroes, 29 mines, nine creature banks, eight monoliths and portals, and the Grail. The author describes each faction's driving motive, from restoring power to pure destruction, and asks how anyone can survive the fight.
