Barbaric Crusade — AB
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
Barbaric Crusade is an Extra Large 144 by 144 map for Armageddon's Blade, played on both the surface and an underground level. It is set at the Impossible difficulty and supports eight players, with only one human seat; the other seven colors are computer-controlled. No teams are defined. The player's Stronghold hero leads a campaign of conquest, set against the Fortress, Inferno, Rampart, Necropolis with Dungeon, Tower, Castle, and Conflux factions. Victory requires defeating all enemies, while the game is lost if a specific hero falls. Roughly a third of the terrain is water, with grass, dirt, and rough ground making up most of the rest. The map holds 48 towns, 132 mines, and 25 creature banks, plus a Grail, several placed artifacts, and wandering stacks of Zealots, Devils, and Enchanters.
