Barbarian vs All is an Extra Large 144 by 144 map for Shadow of Death, played on the surface with no underground level. Eight players take part, with at most one human seat and the other seven colors run by the computer, and no teams are set. The Castle, Inferno, Fortress, Rampart, Stronghold, Dungeon, Necropolis, and Tower factions each hold one color. Lava, sand, subterranean ground, and water make up most of the terrain, with water covering about 17 percent. The story follows a barbarian who has lost a hammer capable of destroying any monster and sets out to get it back. Victory requires defeating a specific monster, and losing a specific hero ends the game. The map holds the Grail, 48 towns, and a range of placed artifacts.
