Seven players share it, with one human seat and six computer colors arranged into two teams. Each color fields a different faction: Tower, Stronghold, Castle, Fortress, Necropolis, Rampart, or Dungeon. Victory means defeating every enemy, but losing Lord Haart in combat ends the scenario. Rock covers about half the terrain, with rough ground, grass, and swamp making up most of the rest. The map includes eleven towns, 64 mines, 24 creature banks, and 23 random artifacts, plus placed relics such as the Talisman of Mana.
