Armagedon is a large underground map measuring 108 by 108, rated hard, for eight players who are all human-controllable, with no teams and no computer-only colors. Each side fields a different town type, from Castle and Tower through Necropolis and Inferno to Stronghold. Victory requires destroying every enemy, while a player is eliminated once all their towns and heroes are lost. Rock covers about a third of the land, with water and grass each making up a noticeable share, and subterranean tiles add more. Scattered across the map are 17 towns, 61 mines, five seer huts, 14 monoliths and portals, and the Grail. Wandering stacks of Water Elementals, Obsidian Gargoyles, and Walking Dead roam the land, and artifacts such as the Crown of the Supreme Magi and Boots of Speed lie in wait.
