Armageddon's Blade is an extra large 144 by 144 map with an underground level, rated Hard, for six players with all six seats open to humans and three teams. The factions are Necropolis, Conflux, Castle, Stronghold, Dungeon and Inferno, one per player. Rock, grass and subterranean ground make up most of the land, with water covering about nine percent. The map is built around a sword of the same name, which the author says can secure victory, though other players are also seeking it. Winning requires acquiring that specific artifact, and a player loses once all their towns and heroes are gone. Scattered across the map are wandering creatures such as Pixies, Master Gremlins and Hobgoblins, along with dwellings, mines, seer huts and creature banks. Artifacts are placed throughout, including the sword itself, and the author suggests searching the underground for it.
