Annexation is a small 36 by 36 map for Heroes of Might and Magic III, built for Horn of the Abyss 1.5.0 and later, and rated Expert. Its premise is that local lords refuse to pledge loyalty to Roland, so the player must bring them under control. The map is above ground, with four players in two teams, though only one can be human. Blue, played with Castle, Rampart and Tower, is the human side, while the computer controls Green (Castle), Orange (Tower) and Teal (Rampart). Victory requires defeating all enemies, and the player loses if a specific town falls. Grass, swamp and dirt cover most of the terrain, with water making up about a tenth. Notable features include four towns, thirteen mines, seventeen creature banks, ten kinds of dwelling creatures, and a range of artifacts such as the Crown of the Five Seas and the Endless Sack of Gold.
