Ancient Greece is a medium 72 by 72 map with an underground level, rated hard, for up to five human players, each playing a different faction: Inferno, Rampart, Tower, Dungeon and Fortress, with no teams and no computer-only colors. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses when all towns and heroes are gone. The land is mostly grass, rock and subterranean ground, with about five percent water. Nine towns and eight starting heroes are placed across the map, along with 34 mines, four seer huts, eight creature banks and ten monoliths or portals. Wandering monsters roam the terrain, and the Grail is hidden somewhere on the map, while artifacts such as the Helm of Chaos and the Shield of the Damned are placed as rewards.
