Alone In The Dark is a large underground map for In the Wake of Gods, measuring 108 by 108 tiles and set on two levels. It is rated Expert and supports five players, with at most two human players, while Blue, Tan and Orange are computer-only. There are no teams. Four players fight as Necropolis and the Tan player as Inferno. Victory requires defeating a specific hero, and a player is eliminated after losing all towns and heroes. Lava covers roughly half the terrain, with water, subterranean ground and rock making up most of the rest. The map holds fifteen towns, many dwellings guarded by strong creatures, a Grail, and numerous mines, seer huts and monoliths. Wandering Azure Dragons and Titans are among the more prominent roaming forces.
