Abandoned — SoD

The map Abandoned is an Extra Large 144 by 144 underground map for Shadow of Death, set at Expert difficulty. Its author describes a great treasure left behind in the Underworld, with the goal of reaching it first, destroying rivals, and claiming powerful artifacts. Eight players share the map, all of them human-capable, with no teams and no computer-only colors. Each side fields a different town type, from Inferno and Castle to Necropolis and Rampart. A player wins by defeating every enemy, and loses by losing all towns and heroes. Rock and subterranean ground cover most of the surface, with grass, sand, and a little water between them. Players will find 23 towns, 80 mines, 62 random artifacts, four Tomes of magic, and ten monoliths and portals, plus Dragon Flies, a Phoenix, and a Magic Elemental roaming the map.
