A Wizard's Tale is an Extra Large 144 by 144 underground map for Shadow of Death, built around a single lone wizard, Ala Kazam, the last of his order, who sets out to conquer the world. The map has two levels and is rated Impossible. Eight players start on it, but only one can be human, and the other seven are computer-controlled, grouped into five teams. The factions in play include Tower, Necropolis, Conflux, Stronghold, Inferno, Rampart, Fortress and Castle. Victory requires defeating all enemies, while the player loses if a specific hero falls. Rock and water cover well over half the terrain, and the map holds 48 towns, the Grail, numerous mines and artifacts, and wandering Titans, Champions and Wyverns.
