Eight players share it, with seven slots open to humans and one reserved for the computer, in a free-for-all with no teams. The factions are mixed across the slots, with Castle, Stronghold, Necropolis, Rampart and Fortress all appearing, and the purple player begins with three towns of different kinds. Rock covers much of the land, with water making up about a fifth of it. The map holds 27 towns and 80 mines, plus seer huts, creature banks, monoliths and portals, and it places several artifacts, including the Dragon Scale Shield and the Golden Bow. Victory requires defeating every enemy, while a player loses by losing all towns and heroes.
