Rebels is a single-player Castle scenario for Shadow of Death on a medium 72 by 72 map, with an underground level included and Normal difficulty. In this mountainous region, peasants have refused to work and seized the mines for themselves, and the king sends the hero to crush the uprising and restore mining. Grass and subterranean ground make up most of the terrain, with rock and some water. Victory requires flagging all 37 mines, and losing one specific hero ends the game. Rebel stacks of peasants, troglodytes and dwarves roam the land, along with two crystal dragons and two faerie dragons. A Helm of Chaos lies on the map, griffins guard a dwelling, and the town of Archangel sits in the southwest.
